Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury said that a 100-day action plan would be implemented by including various priority schemes.
“Necessary steps will be taken to solve air pollution, noise pollution, water pollution, plastic-polythene pollution and hill cutting by taking suggestions from the stakeholders,” he said while talking to reporters after joining his office at the Secretariat.
The election manifesto of Bangladesh Awami League and the Mujib Climate Prosperity Plan will be implemented on priority basis, he added.

A discussion meeting was held with the senior officials of the ministry and the heads of the departments under the jurisdiction about the activities and future plans of the ministry.
The minister said: “The law will be properly executed to prevent forest encroachment. Efforts will be made to take the Ministry of Environment, Forest, Climate Change to make number one in terms of performance."
Transparency, accountability will be established in the activities of the ministry, he said.
