A mobile court fined twenty people in Jashore sadar upazila on Sunday for not wearing masks breaching government’s instruction.
Tanjila Akter, executive magistrate of Jashore, conducted the mobile court at Palbari, Upashahar and Churamankathi area at noon.
“The 20 people were fined Tk 7,050 for breaching government’s instruction,” said the executive magistrate.
Members of law enforcement agencies were present at the occasion.
In late May, the authorities decided not to extend the general holidays and asked the countrymen to conduct their daily activities on a limited scale maintaining recommended healthcare.
The Directorate General of Health Services issued a guideline and made wearing masks mandatory for all at public places.
They also warned of legal action against those who violates the instruction.
