Police have recovered 23 crude bombs from inside a drain on the west side of a chemical shed in the Benapole land port area.
The bombs were recovered around 8:30pm. However, no arrests were made at this time.
Police are still investigating whether the crude bombs were kept there for sabotage.
Kamal Hossain Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge of Benapole Port Police Station, said a team of the Station led by the OC raided the premises and recovered 23 crude bombs after receiving a tip-off that a large number of crude bombs were found in a drain near chemical shed no 35 in Benapole Port area.
We are investigating who kept the bombs there, said OC Kamal.
A case has been registered in this regard.
