The proctorial team accosted 7 students from the front yard of Senate building for demanding second time admission test in Dhaka University.  Later they were handed over to Shahbagh police through assistant proctor.

One of the students said, "We, 17-18 students, went to the Senate building today to talk to the teachers but there was a meeting of the administrative officers of Dhaka University.  When we were sitting on the steps of the Senate building, the proctorial team suddenly came around 5 pm and snatched our mobile phones and started arresting us."

"We haven't done anything wrong with the proctorial team," he added.

Dhaka University Proctor  AKM Golam Rabbani said that they had entered the Senate building anonymously and later, when asked about their identities, they falsely identified themselves as students of Dhaka University.

"At that moment, they were arrested so that there would be no chaos.  I will talk to the parents and release them on bond  so that they do not do this again in the future," he added.

The identities of four students could be known. They are Mahidul Islam Dawood and Mahmudul Hasan of Titumir Government College affiliated to Dhaka University, Tanjid Sohrab of International University of Business, Agriculture and Technology, and Tushar Ahmed of Mymensingh Engineering College.

 The Dhaka University Proctorial team also detained some outsiders and hawkers from there.
