Anti-Corruption Commision (ACC) on Monday raided the Cox's Bazar District Jail.
ACC received an allegation that the District Superintendent of Cox's Bazar is providing accommodation to the healthy people in the hospital in exchange for money, renting government mobile phones for TK 80000 for per day and collecting TK 25 lakh monthly from the canteen.
A team led by Mohammad Riaz Uddin conducted enforcement operations while deputy assistant director of the office Tapsir Billah was present on the occasion.
During the operation, the prison hospital and the canteen of the prison were inspected on the spot.

In addition, various records have been collected by reviewing various records including the registrar of the prison hospital, the registrar of income and expenditure of the canteen, the registrar of mobile usage.
The jail superintendent Neshar Alam's statement was recorded after questioning.
Some data has been collected from the detainees regarding the allegations.
The ACC team will soon submit a report on the operation to the commission.
