On Sunday, around 120 autistic children from Safe Home Child Care and Daswab Shikkha Niketon enjoyed their trip to the small scale amusement park’s rides and snacks.
Park owner Mahbubur Rahman Palash mentioned that in the early days of the park, a disabled child who was denied ride despite buying tickets made him give a thought about those who are deprived of such enjoyment.
"Since then I decided to leave all the rides free of charge for the autistic children.Works of Saima Wazed Putul, Daughter of prime minister Sheikh Hasina have also inspired me," Mahbub added.
He also stressed on everyone's contribution for helping these mentally challenged children.
"If all who are able to give effort to their (children) betterment, the present scenario will completely change," he opined.
This year, Minister of Commerce Tipu Munshi visited the park on January 27. Several ministers every year visit the park to spend time with autistic children.
Mahbub said, "I did the very least I could do for these children with a view to bringing cheerfulness in their life."
He seeks to do more for the betterment of country's autistic children in future.
Mahbub was rewarded twice by Export Promotion Bureau for providing free entertainment to the autistic children.
