State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder on Saturday urged banks to pay more attention to all entrepreneurs.
“Loans and other related banking facilities have to be ensured for the growth of the potential local industries,” he said, according to a PID handout.
Majumder was speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of the digital banking fair, organised by the Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited at the capital’s Khilgaon Girls’ School and College.
He said banks have special roles in reducing social disparity.
“People deprived of banking facilities have to be included in these [banking] services,” he said. “Banking facilities have to be taken to them through alternative arrangements.”
