Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Friday filed a case accusing 23 Rohingyas for intruding into Bangladesh with arms from Myanmar.
The paramilitary force lodged the case under the Arms Act with Ukhiya Police Station in Cox's Bazar and handed them over to the police at this time.
Confirming the matter, Cox's Bazar Superintendent of Police Mahfuzul Islam said the BGB also handed over 12-15 different types of weapons to the police along with the intruders in this case.
Some armed Rohingyas infiltrated through the border on Tuesday morning and night. They were detained by locals including public representatives and handed over to the police.
Palangkhali Union Parishad Chairman Gafur Uddin Chowdhury said some armed fellows of Rohingya terrorist Nabi Hossain, numbering 30-35, had entered a Rohingya camp. They too were detained by locals including public representatives and handed over to the police.
