The fair celebrated its first Shishu Prohor (special time schedule for the children) from 11am to 1pm. The children’s corner was decorated colourfully with toys.
The presence of children was remarkable in the morning while the number of visitors of all ages increased from the afternoon.
Eighty-one new books hit the fair on Saturday.
Two main entry gates have been set up at Teacher-Students’ Centre and Doyel Chattar, while three gates will be installed at the Bangla Academy and eight gates at Suhrawardy Udyan as entry and exit points.
Fourth grader Afia Zaman Mitu came to the fair with her parents. “I have been coming here with my parents for the last two year. It’s really amazing. I like to buy science fiction books,” she told UNB.
“Sisimpur’s Halum and Tuktuki are my favorite characters, I also met and took photo with them,” she added.
