Jhenaidah, Nov 3 (UNB) – India’s Border Security Force (BSF) gunned down a Bangladeshi man inside their territory near Palianpur village of Maheshpur upazila on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahim, 50, son of Abul Quasem of Baulia village in Sejia Union.
Lt Col Quamrul Ahsan, commanding officer of 58 Border Guard Bangladesh Battalion, said BSF disclosed the matter to them at a flag-meeting around 4pm.
Abdur Rahim along with several others entered India for bringing cattle. BSF shot him dead near pillar number 60 when he was returning around 4am, he said.
