Police recovered the bodies of a man and his wife from their home in Darijagi village of Sadar upazila on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Nur Alam Uzzal, 40, and his wife Rubi Akter, 32.
The couple had no children, said Md Tajul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Netrakona Model Police Station.
Deceased’s mother contacted police after she found no response from the couple’s room, the OC said.
Uzzal body was found hanging from the ceiling while the wife was lying dead on the bed, he said.
The husband might have hanged himself after strangulating his wife to death, the OC added.
