Twenty-one new deaths were also recorded during the period, taking the total fatalities to 5,272.
The mortality rate in Bangladesh is still 1.44 percent while the recovery rate rose to 75.9 percent, a handout issued from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
During the last 24 hours, 1,591 patients recovered, taking the number of recoveries to 277,078.
Currently, there are 82,637 active cases in the country.
Since March, the country's RT-PCR labs have tested 19,59,075 samples – 11,410 in the last 24 hours – and 18.63 percent have turned out to be positive. The daily infection rate for Thursday was 13.20 percent.
Bangladesh is seeing 2143.12 infections, 1,626.94 recoveries in every million while 30.96 are dying against the same number.
Of the total victims, 4,079 are men and 1,193 are women. Of the latest victims, 20 are above 50 years of age and another is aged between 41 and 50 years.
So far, 2,642 people have died in Dhaka division, 1,078 in Chattogram, 350 in Rajshahi, 435 in Khulna, 187 in Barishal, 231 in Sylhet, 239 in Rangpur and 110 in Mymensingh.
Across the country, 14,858 people are now in isolation and 43,130 in quarantine.
In Bangladesh, the first three cases of coronavirus infection were detected on March 8. The cases reached the 300,000-mark on August 26.
The first death was reported on March 18 and the death toll exceeded 5,000 on September 22.
