Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) Chairman Asif Ibrahim has requested Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to consider the CSE's request of Tk 1,050 crore stimulus package for the retail investors and brokerage houses.
The CSE management and its staff members contributed one month's basic salary of Tk 25 lakh to the Prime Minister's Fund in an event held at the Prime Minister's Office on Sunday.
While handling over the cheque, CSE Chairman Asif Ibrahim informed the Prime Minister that the CSE has taken the responsibility of 4,000 destitute families in Chattogram during the pandemic crisis.
He also praised the leadership of Prime Minister.
"We're inspired by you and together as a nation we shall overcome this crisis," he was quoted as saying in a press release.

CSE Managing Director Mamun Ur Rashid was also present in the occasion.
