Foreign ministers of Bangladesh and Turkey have agreed to work on arranging a bilateral visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Bangladesh this year.
At the invitation of Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said he would soon visit Bangladesh at a mutually convenient time.
Dr Momen held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Austria, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey during his one-day visit to Turkey Saturday for attending the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During his meeting with Mevlüt, the Bangladesh foreign minister discussed the Rohingya crisis in detail.
The Turkish foreign minister assured his Bangladesh counterpart of the continued support for the cause of Rohingyas.
