The National Board of Revenue (NBR) awarded the Economic Reporters' Forum (ERF) the WCO Certificate of Merit Wednesday at a ceremony in Dhaka on International Customs Day.
The ERF, an association of Bangladeshi reporters focusing on the economy, has been conferred with the World Customs Organization's Certificate of Merit for 2022.
The NBR proposed the ERF's name in recognition of its contribution to sustainable development, secure trade and ensuring an uninterrupted internal supply chain. The ERF members played a key role in raising awareness among the revenue stakeholders by publishing reports on these issues.
ERF President Sharmeen Rinvy and General Secretary SM Rashidul Islam thanked its members for their efforts in developing a business environment and raising business awareness among common people regarding supply and demand of different products and goods.
