The fire that broke out at Korail slum in Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon was fully doused.
The fire broke out at the slum around 12:53 pm, said Deputy-assistant director of FSCD headquarters media cell Shahjahan Sikder.
On information, six firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 1:40 pm.
However, it took nearly two hours for firefighters to extinguished the blaze fully, he said.
The origin of the fire and the extent of damages could not be known immediately, he added.
