Three more people, who sustained burn injuries in a fire after a gas cylinder exploded inside a fishing trawler at ghat-6 of Nuniachara in Cox’s Bazar town on Friday, died at Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) on Tuesday.
With this, the death toll from the blast reached at 5.

The deceased were identified as Rahim Ullah, 30, Arman, 22 and Shaheen, 35.
Brig. General Shamim Ahsan, director of CMCH, said Ramin Ullah had been undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital with 90 percent burn injuries while Arman and Shaheen received 70 and 60 percent burn injuries, respectively.
The respiratory tracts of the deceased were affected due to the fire.

Earlier, on Friday, 12 fishermen suffered burn injuries after a gas cylinder exploded inside a trawler at ghat-6 of Nuniachara in Bazar town of Cox’s Bazar.
Of the injured, two injured fishermen were sent to Dhaka for better treatment.
And the rest of the injured, with 60-90 per cent burn, were sent to CMCH.
Two of the victims—Osman Goni and Ayub Ali succumbed to their injuries at the hospital on September 3 and September 2 respectively.
