Dhaka, Aug 9 (UNB) - The government on Friday urged the people to assist to remove wastes after sacrificing animals during Eid-ul-Azha, to ensure good health and protect the environment.
The authorities have already taken necessary steps to remove wastes quickly, said a PID handout.
People have been urged to sacrifice animals at designated spots, to wash blood before it dries and bury dung and other parts of the animals that are not consumed.
Besides, wastes, including animal bones, should be dumped in places designated by the City Corporation, the handout said.
People were also advised to use environment-friendly bags for removing wastes and distributing meat. They have been discouraged from dumping wastes into sewers and use bleaching powder to prevent spread of germs.
