“It’s a big challenge for only the government to ensure health services of so vast population of the country. We have deficiency in providing primary health and nutrition services to all the population in urban areas compared to the rural areas. Our institutions are facing challenges in providing health, education, water and sanitation. So, the PPP partnership framework is very important for us,” the minister said.
He said half of the total population of the country will live in urban areas by the next 10 years. “We all have to be prepared for this. So, our local government institutions have to play a strong role to address the challenges.”
