The HC bench of Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore and Justice Mohammad Ullah passed the order following a supplementary petition filed by Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh, a human rights organisation.
Advocate Manzill Murshid stood for the petitioner while Advocate Abdul Gaffar for the Khulna City Corporation and deputy attorney general Abu Yeahia Dulal represented the state.
The court also fixed April 6 for next hearing.
Advocate Manzill Murshid said following a order of the HC in 2016, the authorities concerned of Khulna City Corporation dismantled six illegal establishments along the Mayur River and submit a report before the court.
It also submitted a video footage which shows the presence of many more illegal establishments along the river.
It also asked the authorities concerned to prepare a list of grabbers with details.
