Police recently arrested the principal of a madrasa in Fakirbari area of Siddhirganj in Narayanganj as he allegedly sexually harassed a 10-year-old student.
The arrestee was identified as Md Shariful Islam, 35, Principal of Nure Quran Madrasa.
Ishtiak Ashfaq, Inspector of Siddhirganj Police Station, said Shariful has been molesting the minor for the past few days.
Police arrested the Principal after the victim's mother filed a case over the matter.
Shariful has already confessed to his crime before the district court on Tuesday, said the cop.
The victim has been sent to hospital for medical test, he added.
Three months back Shariful molested another student but that student did not disclose the matter out of fear, said investigation officer of the case Sub-inspector Sujon.
