Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted more rains across the country in the next 24 hours starting from 6 pm on Thursday.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and in other places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions," the Met office said in its bulletin this evening.
The country’s highest 97 mm rainfall was recorded in Rangpaur's Dimla in 24 hours till 6 pm on Thursday.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, read the bulletin.
The highest temperature was recorded at 34 degree Celsius in Chattogram's Sitakunda.
Meanwhile, Monsoon is active over the Northern part and fairly active elsewhere over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
