He gave the directive while meeting officials of the energy division and its subordinate bodies through a videoconference from his home on Saturday, said a press release of the ministry.
The meeting was convened to discuss the overall progress of projects under the revised annual development programme (RADP).
Nasrul Hamid asked the energy division and Petrobangla to take steps to go for drilling of old gas wells through directional and non-conventional way.
He said the projects have to be undertaken on the basis of the priority.
“Gas production, compressor procurement, and pipeline construction should be on the top of the priority list in taking up projects through prompt move," he told the officials.

It was informed at the meeting that there are 32 projects, of which16 were taken up through government fund, eight through foreign funding and eight through gas development fund (GDF).

Nasrul Hamid advised the official to hold bilateral, trilateral and multilateral meeting, if necessary, among the officials to take prompt measures maintaining health guidelines.
