Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim on Saturday said this while adding that he wants to involve these newly unemployed people in the production and marketing of fish, meat, milk, and eggs.
People involved in the livestock sector – who have also hit hard by Covid-19, cyclone Amphan, and flood – will get a stimulus of Tk900 crore. And this is unprecedented in Bangladesh's history, the minister also said.
"We want to turn the unemployed people into skilled ones and entrepreneurs and also want to revive the rural economy. Also, we want to see that none is left unemployed in the villages," Rezaul Karim said while inaugurating a goat development farm in Barishal.
"A livestock training institute will be set up in Barishal for the youths. Also, the largest livestock farm of the country will be set up here," the minister added.
