The number of students assisting with traffic control on Dhaka’s roads has decreased significantly as police have resumed full duties.

On Tuesday, students were observed at a few intersections between Rampura and Malibagh in the city, while traffic police managed most of the work. In Malibagh, for instance, traffic policemen were actively directing traffic at an intersection, with students standing nearby on the footpath.

Now that the officers have resumed their duties, students are working together with them, one student explained.
