Thanking the outgoing Thai ambassador for the successful completion of her tenure in Bangladesh, Hamid said Bangladesh's trade with Thailand is gradually increasing.
During the meeting, President Hamid urged the Thailand Government to increase imports from Bangladesh to reduce the trade deficit between the two countries.
He also called for the exchange of high-level visits between the two countries to enhance bilateral ties in days to come.
Hamid thanked the Thai government for providing humanitarian assistance to the Rohingya refugees, who have taken shelter in Bangladesh territory after fleeing violence in their homenald in Myanmar's Rakhine State.
The outgoing Thai ambassador expressed his gratefulness to the President for his overall cooperation during his tenure in Bangladesh.
President's Office Secretary Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Shamim-Uz-Zaman, and President's Office Secretary (attached) Md Wahidul Islam Khan were present on the occasion.
