Hatirjheel police successfully rescued Maksud Parvez, who was abducted in the area, and arrested three suspects involved in the kidnapping.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Md. Maruf Hossain, Md. Faisal, and Md. Farhad Hossain. The arrests were made on Wednesday afternoon during a police operation on Ulan Matbor Bari Road in Hatirjheel.

Maksud Parvez was abducted by a group of criminals on October 1, while he was on Ulan Matbor Bari Road. The kidnappers held him for ransom, taking his mobile phone and 14,500 Taka in cash. Upon receiving the report of the abduction, Hatirjheel Police immediately launched an operation, rescuing Maksud after the kidnappers fled the scene.

Following the rescue, the kidnappers demanded Tk 50,000 from Maksud in exchange for returning his phone and wallet. Maksud alerted the police, who swiftly carried out a second operation, resulting in the arrest of the three suspects.

Legal proceedings are currently underway at Hatirjheel Police Station.
