President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Friday urged everyone to work together regardless of party affiliation to continue the development of the country.

The President made this call at a reception accorded to by Pabna Development Foundation at a hotel in the capital in the evening.

President Shahabuddin was also presented with a memento on behalf of Pabna Development Foundation.

In his speech, the President highlighted his various steps and activities for the development of Pabna.

He also said that everyone should work together irrespective of party affiliation for the overall development of Pabna including art, literature and culture.

Highlighting the development progress of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, President Shahabuddin hoped that Bangladesh would become a prosperous and developed country in 2041 with the efforts of all.

The president said that Pabna will also develop with the continuation of the country's development.

Deputy speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Shamsul Huq Tuku delivered his speech as special guest in the programme while general secretary of the foundation Selim Reza delivered the welcome speech.

Pabna Development Foundation Vice President Md Shafiqul Islam, Md Baby Islam, Professor Shivjit Kumar Nag, and Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Md Sabirul Islam spoke on the occasion.

A documentary on the life and works of President Shahabuddin was screened and cultural program was organised followed by dinner.
