The good relations that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had with the country's Islamic scholars and experts continues today.
Any falling-out between the Islamic scholars and the government can be resolved through discussion. And this has to be ensured for the greater good of the country.
State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan said this on Monday while speaking to the madrasa students and Islamic scholars in Jamalpur.
Faridul said hardline politics do more harm than good to a country. "Everyone must be vigilant so that no one can disturb the peace in the country with extremism. Real Islamic scholars never support fanaticism."
On December 5, Faridul said the ongoing debates around sculptures would be resolved within a week.
