A Rohingya was stabbed to death in Teknaf of Cox's Bazar on Tuesday.
The incident happened at the Nayapara registered camp in Teknaf around 10:00 am on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Nur Mohammad (30), a resident of D block of the camp.
Teknaf Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Osman Gani confirmed the matter.
Nur Mohammad was on his way home in the morning when unidentified miscreants stabbed him in front of the water tank adjacent to the camp and fled. Later, locals rescued the youth and took him to the IPD Hospital adjacent to the camp, said the OC.
Being critical, the duty doctor of the hospital sent him to Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital for better treatment after first aid. He died on the way to the hospital. The body was sent to the hospital morgue for an autopsy, he added.
