A Dhaka court on Wednesday placed former actress and ex-president of e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) Shomi Kaiser on a three-day remand in an attempt to murder case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Saifuzzaman passed the order when the sub-inspector of Uttara East Police Station who is also the investigating officer of the case produced Shomi Kaiser before the court with a seven-day remand prayer.
Police arrested actress Shomi Kaiser from a house in Dhaka’s Uttara area around 1 am on Wednesday.
Shomi Kaiser was arrested in an attempted murder case filed with Uttara East Police Station.
The court also put Gaan Bangla TV Chairman Kaushik Hossain Taposh on a three-day remand in another attempted murder case.
Police arrested Taposh from the Bhatara area in Dhaka on Wednesday.
