“I love my country and that’s why I’m here with this anti-drug forum,” one of the students wrote while putting his signature on a mass-signature campaign board saying ‘no to drug’.
Students from different universities joined the mass-signature and awareness programme held at TSC of Dhaka University.
The anti-drug pogromme was organised jointy by Dream Bangladesh Foundation, a forum that works against drug and promote activities to encourage youngsters to say ‘no to drug’ and Narcotics Control Department.
Mukul Jyoti Chakma, Deputy Director, Dhaka Metropolitan, Department of Narcotics Control said,"We are giving more importance to the campaign against drug addiction now. To make the common people aware about the drug, we are conducting various programs across the country. Awareness can protect the young society from drugs."
Anti-drug quiz and game shows were also held at the same venue with a focus on questions related to drug abuse.
The participants who put their signatures got the opportunity to participate in the game shows.
Founder of Dream Bangladesh Foundation Rakhil Khandaker Nishan said they with support from Narcotics Control Department are working to raise awareness among people involving college and university students across the country against drug use.
