A factory owner was fined Wednesday for making food using adulterating colours and chemicals in Tongibari of the district.
Asif Al Azad, assistant director of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection fined ‘Allah Bhorosha’ bakery Tk 15,000 for preparing food in an unhygienic environment using adulterating colours, chemicals and not displaying the price list during a drive conducted at Baligaon bazaar.
Abu Bakkar Majhi, general secretary of Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) upazila unit, Md Anwarul Islam, sanitary inspector, Shymol Kumar Das, office assistant of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection and members of Tongibari police station were present during the drive.
