Additionally, she remarked that Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman showed people dreams and translated them into reality.
She spoke at a discussion on Independence Day arranged by Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board held at International Mother Language Institute in city’s Kakrail.
“Conspiracies were plotted in the past to deviate Bangladesh from the path of liberation and progress,” the minister said.
She expressed that Bangladesh will prosper to reach unimaginable heights under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina.
Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education, Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury said a certain group distorted the facts about our liberation after the massacre of 1975 to produce a generation unaware of its value.
“Had Awami League not come to power in 1996, a whole generation would have grown up knowing false information about Liberation War and the country would have turned into a failed state,” he added.
He also urged every official of Education Ministry and teachers presented in the event to work for creating a progressive educational system.
Senior Secretary of Education Ministry, Md Sohrab Hossain presided over the event.
