Two bikers were killed and another was injured in separate road accidents in the capital's Postogola and Kadamtali areas on Friday and early Saturday.
In Postogola, a biker was killed and the pillion rider was injured when a bus hit the motorcycle on Postogola bridge in the small hours of Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Md Farhadul Islam Shihab, 23, son of Abdul Sattar, a sub-inspector of Special Branch and the injured was Saurav, 22.
Shyampur police station sub-inspector Saiful said the accident occurred around 1:15am when Shihab and his friend Saurav were returning from Dhaka - Mawa Highway.
When they were crossing Postogola bridge, a passenger bus hit the motorbike, leaving them injured.
On information, they were rescued from the scene and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Later, doctors declared Shihab dead around 3:30 am.
Injured Saurav was given first aid at the hospital.
Shihab's body was handed over to the family without a post-mortem following an application.
In another accident, a 22-year-old Md Kawsar lost control over his steering on the slope of the bridge of Kadamtali police station around 10:30pm on Friday and fell on the road.

Later, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead around 12am.
The body of the deceased was kept at the hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Md Bacchu Mia , in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost.
"We informed the concerned police station," Bacchu Mia added.
