The government has appointed two journalists as press ministers to the press wings of Bangladesh High Commissions in London and New Delhi.
Senior journalist Akbar Hossain Majumder has been assigned to the Bangladesh High Commission in the United Kingdom, while Faisal Mahmud has been appointed to the High Commission in New Delhi.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications announcing their appointments on a two-year contractual basis on Sunday.
The appointments are subject to the condition that they relinquish any existing affiliations with other professions, businesses, or roles in government, semi-government, private institutions, or organisations.
The appointments will take effect from the date of their joining, as stated in the notification.
