"Bangabandhu's foreign policy was - friendship to all, malice to none. We're still following it," Dr Momen said mentioning that Bangabandhu introduced the independent foreign policy without going to any block for the sake of the country's interest.
The Foreign Minister made the remarks while addressing a virtual discussion on Bangabandhu hosted by the Philosophy Department of Barishal University.
Dr Momen said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, following Bangabandhu's ideology, has introduced the culture of peace in the world and 193 countries accepted it.
He said the key purpose of "culture of peace" is to enhance respect for each other.
"Bangabandhu was a peace-loving person. Bangladesh is playing a leading role in the UN peacekeeping mission by following Bangabandhu's ideology," Dr Momen said.
The Foreign Minister said religious harmony was another aspect of what Bangabandhu worked for.
