The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) showed a promising upward trend within the first one and half hours of trading on Sunday, with transactions totaling Tk 192 crore amid significant market activity and selling pressure.
Shares and units totaling 8.73 crore were exchanged through 68,320 transactions, reflecting robust engagement across the market. A total of 393 companies were active in trading, with 274 companies recording price increases, 72 companies facing declines, and 49 companies remaining unchanged.
DSE sees upward trend with Tk 556cr in trade today
The DSE's main index, DSEX, rose by 42.12 points to reach 5,241.53 points. Meanwhile, the DSES Shariah index gained 11.63 points, reaching 1,156.54 points, and the DS30 blue-chip index increased by 35.82 points, settling at 1,935.82 points.
