Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said the government is amending the Digital Security Act (DSA) to prevent misuse of the law.
He said this while addressing a student rally marking the 93rd birth anniversary of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib at Dhaka University this afternoon.

“BNP’s one-point day is over; BNP leaders have run out of breath. A five-member delegation of Awami League has gone to India as per routine. Earlier, the Awami League delegation also went to China. BNP leaders are unable to sleep at night after AL visited India,” said the AL leader.
In his speech, the Road Transport and Bridges minister questioned the role of foreigners in Bangladesh's elections, saying, “Elections will be held in 22 countries of the world this year. Did Bangladesh commit such a crime that the European Union, the United Nations, the United States all turning their attention here? They are not worried about Niger and Sudan.”
Quader also addressed the Rohingya issue.

“First of all, praise for humanity about the Rohingya. Teknaf has a population of more than 400,000. Now, 11 lakh have come, increased to 12-13 lakh. How will Bangladesh feed these people? Our environment, biodiversity, Cox’s Bazar have been destroyed. Help is dwindling. We almost have to feed them ourselves. What crime did these Rohingyas commit? Will the UN end its duties by praising Sheikh Hasina only?" Quader asked.

Presided over by Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain, the rally was addressed among others by Chhatra League General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan and leaders of different levels of BCL.
