“Although no one from Sikder group has been arrested for shooting the MD of Exim Bank, the luxury car used for it has been seized. This is really the best joke of the year as the government seized the vehicle after sending two accused in an attempt to murder case abroad with the highest state patronisation,” said BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
Speaking at an online press briefing, he also said Awami League knows it better about how to protect the terrorists by fooling people.
The BNP leader accused the government of helping the Sikder Group directors escape in an air ambulance.

On Tuesday, law enforcers seized a Range Rover of Ron Haque Sikder, accused of attempting to murder two officials of Exim Bank.
According to case statement, Ron opened fire at the Exim Bank managing director from that vehicle on May 19.
Ron and his brother Dipu Haque Sikder, the sons of Sikder Group’s proprietor Zainul Sikder, left Dhaka for Bangkok by an air ambulance of the group on May 25 following the incident.
About the coronavirus outbreak, BNP leader Rizvi said the situation has gone out of control of the government for its ‘limitless’ failures.
He said the government has pushed people towards death by its imprudent decision of lifting the shutdown and resuming offices and transport services only to protect the interests of the businessmen.
Rizvi said though the bus fare has been increased by 60 percent, the transport workers are taking extra money from passengers and violating the health safety rules.
He urged the government to enhance its monitoring to ensure the health safety of the passengers and check irregularities in the transport sector.
