An upazila unit leader of BNP’s associate body Jatiyatabadi Matsyajibi Dal was abducted and stabbed by miscreants in Sadar upazila of Natore last night.
Abu Raihan, 40, is the president of the upazila chapter of Matsyajibi Dal, Natore district unit BNP’s Convenor Shahidul Islam Bachhu said.
Locals said some miscreants picked Raihan up in a microbus when he was having tea at a stall at Mirzapur Bazar of the upazila around 8 pm. The miscreants opened fire when locals tried to stop them.

Raihan was left by a road in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi after he was stabbed with sharp weapons.
Locals first took him to Puthia Upazila Health Complex and later he was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Nasim Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Natore Sadar police station, said they heard about the matter and were looking for it.
