Two times Asian Games silver medalists Bangladesh women's cricket team reached the semifinal of the 19th Asian Games Cricket as they declared winner against Hong Kong in a rain interrupted quarter final in Hangzhou on Friday (Sept 22).
Bangladesh will play their giant rivals India in the first semifinal Sunday morning while Pakistan will play Sri Lanka in the other semis Sunday afternoon.

The day's 4th and last quarter final match between Bangladesh and Hong Kong was abandoned at the Zhejiang University of Technology Cricket ground in Hangzhou without a single ball being bowled.
Later, Bangladesh declared winner as per bye law as their ICC ranking is higher then the Hong Kong.

The cricket pitch and partial outfield of the day's match venue was covered an hour before the match started due to continuous drizzling and the umpires finally declared the match abandoned after waiting for about two hours after inspected the field several times.
