State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Hasan Russell will inaugurate the five-day meet in the morning as the chief guest while Mahabub Ara Begum Gini, MP, will be a special guest.
A total of 21 boys and 18 girls from seven Asian countries -– India, Sri Lanka, the
Maldives, Bhutan, Pakistan, Nepal and hosts Bangladesh -- will compete in the first phase on round robin league basis after splitting into two groups.
Later, top two teams of the both the boys’ and girls’ divisions will play the final round.
The boys’ matches will be held at Officers’ Club Tennis Court while that of girls at the National Tennis Complex in Ramna.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Tennis Federation (BTF) Golam Morshed disclosed the details of the meet at a press conference at the National Tennis Complex here on Saturday.
