The match is now a decider as the series is locked 1-1 after the first two encounters.
Bangladesh made no change in the playing XI of the last match, but West Indies came into the match with a change to their last playing XI as Sherfane Rutherford got his T20I cap and Darren Bravo set out to pave the way for him.
In the previous outing, Bangladesh squared the series with a stunning 36-run win. Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladesh captain, led from the front taking his first-ever five-for in T2Is after hitting unbeaten 42.
Along with Shakib, Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar and Mahmudullah Riyad showed glimpses with the bat. Bangladesh were in a dire need to win that match to keep their hope of winning the series alive. Shakib exploited well. And the other boys helped the captain perfectly.
Prior to the T20I series, Bangladesh won both of Test and ODI series. They did same against the same opponent in last July-August in their backyard.
Bangladesh now have a golden opportunity to beat West Indies in all three series of three formats which could be Bangladesh’s first instance to come up victorious in consecutive three series of three formats against a particular opponent.
