Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football champions Bashundhara Kings recruited goal keeper Mohammad Asif spending Tk 13.25 lakh or 1.325 million during the first-ever players auction in front of officials of top clubs at a Hotel Intercontinental in Dhaka on Saturday.
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has arranged the first-ever open auction for the top 10 promising booters of the Bangladesh Championship league (BCL) runners-up BFF Elite Academy team responding to the demand of the top BPL clubs.
Earlier, the 10 players have been divided into two categories – six in category A and four in category B.
The minimum or base price for each player in the first category was Tk 5 lakh while it was Tk 4 lakh for the second category.

Maximum six players out of ten booters who were placed in auction, joined Brothers Union Club at different prices, including four in base prices.
The six players are:forward Mirajul Islam, defender Azizul Haque Ananta, Imran Khan, Rubel Sheikh, Sirajul Islam Rana and Sumon Saren.
Besides, Asadul Mollah joined Dhaka Abahani Limited, Chandan Roy in Sheikh Russel KC and Sajed Hasan Jumman Nijhum in Fortis FC.

BFF president Kazi M Salahuddin, two vice presidents Kazi Nabil Ahmed MP and Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan Manik, among others, were present at the day's auction ceremony.
