Bangladesh Police FC advanced to the 3rd place in the ongoing eleven-team Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football 2022-23 crushing relegation-bound Azampur FC, Uttara by 7-0 goals at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh Saturday afternoon.

Colombian midfielder Johan Arango and local medio Mohammad Abdullah struck two goals each while local midfielder Syed Shah Quazem Kirmanee, Rabiul Hasan and Venezuela booter Edward Jimenez scored one goal each for Police.
Arango opened the floodgate for Police FC in the 19th minute (1-0) while Rabiul Hasan doubled the margin in the 32nd minute (2-0) to dominate the first half by 2-0 goals.
Syed Shah Quazem Kirmanee netted the 3rd goal in the 48th minute (3-0), Mohammad Abdullah scored 4th and 5th goals in the 55th and 62nd minutes (5-0), Edward Jimenez scored the 6th goal in the 79th minute (6-0) while Johan Arango sealed the fate of the scoring his 2nd goals in the 82nd minute (7-0).
With the day's feat, Police FC moved up to the 3rd slot after Bashundhara Kings and Dhaka Abahani Ltd securing 23 points from 16 matches toppling two former champions Sheikh Jamal DCsecuring 23 points from 16 matches
Last three times BPL champions Bashundhara Kings now in handshake distance to clinch the league crown in record 4th times in a row securing 43 points from 16 matches while Federation Cup champions Dhaka Abahani Ltd are in the distant 2nd place with 33 points from 16 encounters.
After the day's match, Dhaka Mohammedan SC went down to the 4th slot with 22 points, Sheikh Russel KC went down to the 5th slot also with 22 points due to poor goal difference while Sheikh Jamal DC went down to the 6th place with 21 points.
In the day's other league match Fortis FC Ltd Advanced to the 7th slot in the league table beating Muktijoddha Sangsad KC by 2-0 goals at the Shaheed Smriti Stadium in Rajshahi on Saturday..
After a goalless affairs till 83rd minute, Afghan forward Amiruddin Sharifi scored first for Fortis FC
