New Zealand's captain, Kane Williamson, makes his return to the team after recovering from injuries, taking the place of Will Young.

Bangladesh's skipper, Shakib Al Hasan, said he was confused about whether to bat first or not but ultimately welcomed the opportunity.
A change was made in the Bangladesh lineup, with Mahmudullah Riyad returning to the playing XI in place of Mahedi Hasan.
