In their ICC World Cup clash against the Netherlands, Bangladesh found themselves struggling at 69, losing five wickets while chasing 230 on Saturday in Kolkata.
Paul van Meekeren claimed two wickets for the Netherlands, while Aryan Dutt, Logan van Beek, and Bas de Leede took one wicket each.

By the 17th over, Bangladesh had lost half of their wickets.
Litton Das was the first to depart, attempting a reverse sweep but failing to connect cleanly, resulting in a catch by the wicketkeeper.

His partner, Tanzid Hasan, despite facing initial challenges, could not carry on and was out for 15.
With both openers dismissed, the responsibility fell on Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Nazmul Hossain Shanto to lead the Tigers, but both fell short. While Mehidy contributed 35, Nazmul managed only 9 runs. Shakib Al Hasan also struggled, scoring just five runs off 14 balls.

Earlier, Bangladesh's bowlers excelled, restricting the Netherlands to 229.
