The right-arm pacer expressed his optimism about taking part in the Super League stage of the ongoing Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League.
Taskin sustained a blow on his ankle during the last match of Sylhet Sixers in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on February 1. Due to the injury, Takin missed the New Zealand tour of the Tigers in spite of grabbing a place in the team.
“I just started the bowling today after a break of two months. Before starting the bowling, I went through some fitness tests,” Taskin told reporters.
“I passed the fitness tests successfully and that’s why I was allowed to bowl. I’ll increase the intensity in the coming days. I need to bowl with a break of a day now. I hope to take part in the Super League of the Dhaka League,” the right-arm pacer further said.
Taskin was superb during the BPL. He bagged 22 wickets in 12 matches and ended the season as the second bowler to take highest wickets in the event.
The right-arm pacer started his ODI career back in 2014 scalping five wickets on debut against India at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. But he failed to maintain his royal start.
Till the date, Taskin represented the Tigers in 32 ODIs and bagged 45 wickets with the best figure of taking five wickets conceding 28 runs.
