Bangladesh's fast bowler Taskin Ahmed and young right-handed batter Towhid Hridoy have received call-ups for the upcoming Lankan Premier League (LPL), scheduled to be held from late July this year.
Currently, Taskin is participating in the Zim Afro T20 league, representing the Bulawayo Braves.
This marks Towhid's first opportunity to play in a foreign league, as he has been called up by the Jaffna Kings, who are the reigning champions of the LPL.

However, their participation is not yet confirmed, pending the issuance of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
Taskin had previously received a call-up from the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well. However, due to his busy schedule with the national team, he couldn't take part in the IPL.
